It’s that time of year again!
Back to School!
Now, it didn’t really feel like I had a summer with balancing 3 jobs, friends, and trying to manage all my social networks, but nevertheless I was ready to get back to school because that meant moving back to one of my favorite cities, Grand Rapids! I’m super excited to be back here and I’m actually going to explore downtown a little bit today with some friends! I’m sure pictures will be happening!
Moving on to the ACTUAL point of this post…here are some pictures of how I’m setting up my dorm room for this year! It’s still semi in progress, but it’s mostly done. I have an apartment type dorm room with 3 other roommates who each have their own bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and a living room and full kitchen so it’s not like the traditional fit-everything-in-one-tiny-bedroom like most schools have.
This storage cupboard was my favorite purchase of last year. It’s so cute and holds a lot of things! It’s the first thing you see when you come into my room, so I thought I’d decorate the top of it with picture frames, an adorable jewelry holder from the Container Store and a great candle holder from Ikea topped with my favorite scent from Bath & Body Works, Pineapple Mango!

This is my corner that has my closet, there’s really nothing else here since I need to open up my doors, but I purchased the felt, huggable hangers this year and let me tell you, THEY ARE SUCH A SPACE SAVER. oh my goodness, I have SO MUCH SPACE in my closet now! It’s insane. You need to go get you some.

I found the left wall mural at a Bed, Bath & Beyond sale a few years ago, but it’s great because I can use it over and over again because it’s like a vinyl material and has stickies on the back so you don’t need anything else to hang it with! And it really utilizes the space from my bed to my ceiling.
This is my desk area, for right now. It’s a little bare, but that’s okay, classes haven’t started yet.

This is the other part of my desk! It’s actually the top of my dresser, but since they’re right next to each other, I like to explode all over it. I picked up this bulletin board a couple years ago at Wal-Mart or something, and I’m sure they’re at any superstore nowadays for quite cheap. The wall files I plan on putting papers for my classes or mail or just things that can be filed. I have my printer, two magazine holders that I plan on putting books in and my Ikea desk lamp!
