some time ago, I stumbled upon this incredibly fascinating video.
it showcases this New York photographer, Richard Renaldi, that uses strangers in his pictures, but poses them as if they have known each other their entire lives. some of the photos come out awkward, but some look astonishingly natural.
this photographer is in a way forcing people out of their own world and pushing them to look at the people around them. many subjects exchange stories while they are being posed and some even contact information to continue this new-found friendship.
on the other hand, some part ways and never see each other again.
but it causes me to think about what if you met your future spouse? or best friend? or maybe someone distantly related to you while approached by this photographer on the street?
would you take a second out of your busy schedule to have an impact in someone else’s life or would you stay in your comfort zone and just shake your head as you speed-walk by?
I challenge you to get out of your comfort zone this week, be aware of your surroundings, and try to make an impact in someone else’s life.
you never know who it may be.
