recently I’ve been so into Ted talks. some of the things on there are so inspirational, funny, or just jaw-dropping and I just get sucked into them. but I justify them because they’re educational, which is okay, right?!
anyway, I stumbled upon this AMAZING video by Rita Pierson called Every kid needs a champion. and let me tell you it was fantastic.
although she was speaking towards educators, I think the points she brings up can be applied to everyone.
at some point in our lives, we were either the student or the teacher and can relate to the things she says.
and personally I’m making my new life motto:
“I am somebody. I came here as somebody and I’m going to leave here as a better somebody.”
