Lincoln Park Apartment Tour

Hello! Today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! Or just the day that I’ve been waiting for for 6 months. MY MOVE. Well technically it happened one month ago. But today’s the day I’m sharing it with you all! So that’s exciting!

I made a video documenting the whole thing, so be sure to watch the moveout vlog and the tour (which I so nicely wrapped all in one). But if videos aren’t your thing, take a peak at the photos below!

Kitchen

The fact that I even get to break this up into different sections is just a testament to how big of an upgrade this move was. The kitchen is absolutely perfect. I somehow found this place right before they were about to remodel and this was where most of the work was done. All new counter tops, cabinets, new appliances. Incredible. All the cabinet doors are soft close too! What a LUXURY.

Living Room

This is my favorite place. Not only do I absolutely LOVE this couch from Art Van and my rug from RugsUSA but everything about this space just gives me joy. I’ve hung 2 of my favorite photographs on the wall and filled up this Ikea shelf with plants and its just the best space to spend your days.

Bedrooms

So I have 2 bedrooms. I know, wild. But the small closets justify it. My bedroom still needs some work, I’m really not sure how to make it homey-er, but I don’t spend too much time here so I don’t feel as bad. I’ve got my washer and dryer in one side of my closet here so that takes up a bit of space, but having an in unit w/d was a NONNEGOTIABLE. So I’m fine with it.

The second bedroom is kind of in flux right now. Its half an office, half a crafting space, half a guest bedroom and half an extra closet. I also don’t really spend my time in here because the living room has so much more light, so when I do work, its most likely not in here.

So I’ve got this awkward additional half room that is really not functioning well right now where I keep all my shoes. People have suggested I turn it into an office or a reading nook and while I would love to do that, I think its just too small. So right now, it just sits here kind of making sense and kind of not. I did add this lovely shoe rack this weekend that cleared up all my shoes that were just laying on the floor so now I actually have some more floor space in here which is great. The hanging rack was originally just in here temporarily, but it allowed for so much extra room in the second bedroom that I haven’t moved it back yet. Who knows where it will eventually land.

And that’s my apartment. Leaps and bounds better than the before. Hope you enjoyed!
